COMING IN

The Roughnecks split a two-game set last weekend, losing 11-9 to the LumberJax at home Friday night before rebounding and beating the Edmonton Rush 14-13 the following night in the provincial capital. The win clinched first overall in the NLL for the Roughnecks and gives them home-floor advantage throughout the playoffs.

The Jax had a great weekend, beating the Riggers and then going to Minnesota for a 19-14 win over the Swarm. They will finish second in the West Division and will host San Jose in the first round of playoffs.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

The Jax have the Riggers' number. The 11-9 win last weekend at the Saddledome was their second straight victory in Calgary after the playoff win last year. The Riggers are 4-3 against Portland all-time.

WHO'S HOT

CALGARY -- Captain Tracey Kelusky came up with a clutch performance in Edmonton Saturday, scoring four goals and adding four assists.

PORTLAND -- Gigantic F Peter Morgan had six goals and six assists in the two wins last weekend. Morgan, who is 6-foot-6 and 230 lb., leads the LumberJax with 27 goals this season.

SPECIAL TEAMS

POWERPLAY -- Calgary: 59.2% (64-108, 1st in NLL); Portland: 40.9% (29-71, 11th).

PENALTY KILLING -- Calgary: 48.5% (35-68, 11th in NLL); Portland 55.3% (42-94, 4th).

NOTABLES

Sophomore F Dane Dobbie has 39 goals and needs two tallies for the third-best single-season in team history. Ben Prepchuk (40 in 2002), Tracey Kelusky (45 in 2005) and Lewis Ratcliff (50 in 2007) are the only ones with better goal-scoring seasons for the Riggers ... With 67 helpers, F Josh Sanderson has blown away the Roughnecks single-season assists record held by Ratcliff (54 in 2007). Sanderson would need 10 points to top Ratcliff's 104 he piled up in 2007.
