Maybe the Calgary Roughnecks are wasting Jeff Shattler's offensive skills by playing him on defence.
A night after winning the Trick Shot competition at the National Lacrosse League's All-Star weekend in Denver, Shattler had another two pretty goals in the West Division's 27-21 loss to the East.
Shattler beat out Buffalo's Mark Steenhuis, New York's Pat Maddalena and Boston's Dan Dawson for the Trick Shot crown Friday, but those three players were the stars of the game last night.
Steenhuis, who leads the league in scoring, completed the sock-trick by scoring his sixth goal in the fourth quarter. That prompted the fans in Denver to rain the floor with socks, and Steenhuis then doffed his trademark orange shoes and threw his socks onto the floor.
Steenhuis was the game MVP -- the third time in his career -- for finishing with seven goals and six assists.
The fun didn't stop there.
Boston Blazers dynamic righty Dan Dawson scored late in the fourth quarter, then ran off the floor and jumped into a hot tub with two bikini-clad babes.
Roughnecks forwards Josh Sanderson and Tracey Kelusky each had a goal and two assists for the West, while defender Jeff Moleski had a late tally.
