SUN THREE STARS

1. Rob Blasdell, Arizona -- Made the big stops when he had to, making 41 saves.

2. Craig Conn, Arizona -- Had six points, including five assists.

3. Jeff Shattler, Calgary -- Had four assists and played solid on both sides of the ball.

HIT OF THE GAME

Arizona's Chris McKay was looking behind him for a bounce pass and didn't see Roughnecks D Andy Ogilvie step up and lay a huge hit on him. To his credit, McKay never lost his footing but he did appear dazed after the big collision.

GOAL OF THE GAME

Arizona's Curt Malawsky couldn't miss with the quick stick down on Calgary's crease last night. Malawsky managed to show off his hand-eye co-ordination a couple of times in the first half.

SAVE OF THE GAME

Arizona starter Rob Blasdell stoned Roughnecks sniper Lewis Ratcliff on a breakaway when he sniffed out Ratcliff's fake and threw up the big shoulder to make the stop.

REPORT CARD

OFFENCE -- Moved the ball well and created open lanes but couldn't fool Arizona goaltender Rob Blasdell enough. B

DEFENCE -- Were only good in spurts and couldn't contain Arizona's deadly attack. C+

GOALTENDING -- As has been the case often this season, both goalies saw action. Andrew Leyshon played more minutes than Ryan Avery but both struggled. B

SPECIAL TEAMS -- Took advantage of their powerplay opportunities when they got them. B

NOTABLES

Roughnecks regulars D Craig Gelsvik and D Jeff Moleski didn't play last night due to personal reasons. F Kerry Susheski and D Tyler Francey started in place of them ... F Scott Anderson, F Derek Tom and F Shawn Cable were the other Riggers scratches last night.
