COMING IN

The Roughnecks open their 2007 campaign tonight, which marks their sixth season as a franchise in the National Lacrosse League. The 2004 Champions Cup winners enter this year after a 9-7 record in '06 and a heartbreaking OT first-round playoff loss to the Colorado Mammoth.

The San Jose Stealth opened its season with a loss to the Rochester Knighthawks.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

These two teams split their season series last season with the Stealth winning the first game 14-13 in overtime. The 'Necks rebounded with a 12-10 win April 1.

NOTABLES

Roughnecks D Ryan McNish has been placed on the holdout list but don't expect him to be there long. McNish, who is a corporal in the army, has work commitments this weekend but is said to be returning when the Colorado Mammoth visit the 'Dome next Saturday ... F Derek Tom has been activated from the practice roster ... Shaw TV will air six Roughnecks games this season, four home games and two on the road ... Don't expect to see D Jim Moss in a Stealth uniform tonight as he was traded to the expansion Chicago Shamrox. Moss, who was signed off the holdout list Jan. 4, was dealt yesterday to the Shamrox and will join former teammate D Cam Woods.
