PETER GUT - Nagged by injuries and had some difficulty adjusting from field to box game. Grade: C-

TYLER HEAVENOR - Quick start to year but became a spare part down the stretch. Grade: D

DARREN HILLIER - One of team's most pleasant surprises and no worse than role player next season. Grade: C

KEVIN HOWARD - After moderate start, he jumped up and started to find rhythm of past scoring touch. Grade: B

TED JENNER - Versatile in transition and on defence but will need better stuff in a year's time. Grade: C

DWIGHT MAETCHE - Sure doesn't play like he's 46 and is valuable tutor to young players. Grade: A

CHRIS McELROY - Fast feet all year and a mean streak that came on late. Grade: C

JIMMY QUINLAN - Developed into team's premier scorer and will get better with additional help. Grade: A-

COLIN SHERBANUK - Showed some good hands in limited role but will need to be stronger to have bigger role. Grade: C+

TRENT SMALLEY - Never got on track offensively but was a gamer when it came to the rough stuff. Grade: C-

CHRIS STACHNIAK - Chipped in as role player and never backed down. Grade: C-

BUCK STOBART - Slowed by injuries and his physical presence was missed most of the year. Grade: C

KERRY SUSHESKI - Failed to live up to billing of potent scorer and will likely move on. Grade: D

ANDREW TURNER - Admittedly didn't have his best year but will be long-term anchor of this team. Grade: B-
