SUN THREE STARS:

1. Ryan McNish, Calgary -- The hulking defender laid big hits and scored his first two goals of the season.

2. Lewis Ratcliff, Calgary -- Continued his torrid scoring pace with four goals and two assists in the victory.

3. Kevin Dostie, Calgary -- The lefty continues to impress, scoring twice.

SAVE THE GAME:

After a sweet tic-tac-toe passing play by the Roughnecks in the first quarter, Grant Hamilton was stoned on the doorstep after taking the pass at the top of the crease. Edmonton goalie Pat Campbell dived across to get a piece of what looked like a sure goal.

GOAL OF THE GAME:

Calgary D Ryan McNish -- known for using his hands to scrap, not score -- notched his first of the season, a beauty, after running the length of the floor and dishing the ball to Travis Gillespie before quick-sticking the return pass top shelf.

UNSUNG HERO:

D Taylor Wray, an Edmonton native, was all over the floor, leading Calgary's defence and making some great rushes. He chipped in a goal to boot.

NEXT UP:

The Roughnecks flew out early this morning (early as in 3:15 a.m. wakeup call) for San Jose, where they take on the Stealth tonight (8:30 p.m., TV: None).
