Travis Gillespie will be back to protect the Calgary Roughnecks' net this season.

The 6-ft. 215-lb. defender, acquired last season from the Arizona Sting, has re-signed with the club, the Roughnecks announced yesterday.

"Travis is a solid two-way player who continues to improve," said GM Kurt Silcott in a statement.

Gillespie, who spent time last season on the injured reserve due to a wrist injury, posted eight points in nine games, while collecting 46 loose balls and 21 penalty minutes.

The club also signed rookie Graham Palmer, who played with Riggers Ted Dowling, Jason Wulder and captain Tracey Kelusky last summer for the Coquitlam Adanacs of the Western Lacrosse Association.
