Jim Moss is all business when he's on the floor. No. 55 is the anchor of the San Jose Stealth defence and one of the best rearguards in the National Lacrosse League.

His aggressive style and tenacious play led to him to being voted as a starter for the West Division all-star squad.

The Toronto native, who now makes his home in Silicon Valley, is used like a shut-down corner in football, often drawing the assignment of shadowing the opposition's top forward.

When the Stealth recently played the Colorado Mammoth, Moss had the unenviable task of containing the NLL's all-time leading scorer, Gary Gait. He did a pretty impressive job, said Stealth bench boss Johnny Mouradian, who will serve as an assistant coach with the West.

"He always get the special assignments whenever we play," said Mouradian. "The last game, he covered Gary Gait and did a great job. Gary only got one goal -- and that's when Jim wasn't covering him. So, he basically held him to no goals. That's pretty impressive."
