SAVE OF THE GAME:

In the third quarter, down 10-7, Roughnecks sniper Kaleb Toth slipped behind the defence and took the pass on the run going one-on-one with Rock goalie Bob Watson. Toth threw a fake and went farside but was stoned.

UNSUNG HERO:

Toronto captain Jim Veltman, the reigning league MVP, was a force at both ends of the floor and collected three points.

FIGHT CARD:

All hell broke loose at the end of fourth quarter. Rookie Calgary D Ryan McNish dropped the mitts with veteran NLL heavyweight Tim O'Brien to get things started. McNish did well for his first pro bout but was cut on the back of his head from a few punches O'Brien landed ... Calgary F Kyle Goundrey and Toronto D Patrick Merrill went at it not long after. Goundrey tossed Merrill to the carpet Greco-Roman style and then landed a few punches while laying on top of him ... Moments later, Toronto D Dan Ladoceur, another league heavyweight, and Calgary D Jesse Phillips went at it with Ladoceur getting the decision ... After the next faceoff, Calgary D Andrew McBride and Toronto F Jim Quinlan swung to a draw ... On the next faceoff, rookie D Jeff Moleski was itching for a fight and finally went with Toronto D John Rosa, scoring an easy decision after landing a flurry of punches and tossing Rosa around.
