The national Lacrosse League is poised to bring its 2006 all-star game to the Air Canada Centre. The Toronto Rock submitted a bid for the game prior to the deadline today and appears to be the favourite.

"Toronto is at the top of my list," NLL commissioner Jim Jennings said yesterday. "I think it would be a great place to host an all-star game."

The San Jose Stealth and Colorado Mammoth also are believed to have interest in the game. The NLL expects to make a decision within two weeks.

"We've set attendance records and I'd be very surprised if we don't get it," Rock president Brad Watters said. "Our plan is to make it a whole weekend of celebration."

This season's all-star game is Feb. 26 in Calgary.
