COMING IN:

The Calgary Roughnecks (0-1) dropped their first game of the season 12-7 to the Colorado Mammoth last Saturday night in Denver.

WHO'S HOT:

CALGARY -- Defensive transition man Rob Williams, picked up in the Vancouver Ravens dispersal draft, had a solid debut for the Roughnecks a week ago against Colorado. The 32-year-old Burnaby, B.C., product was a bright spot on defence and did a good job containing Mammoth superstar Gary Gait.

SAN JOSE -- The Stealth have yet to play a regular-season game but need strong performances by defenders Jim Moss and Cam Woods. Woods was named the NLL's co-defensive player of the year alongside Calgary's Taylor Wray.

WHO'S NOT:

CALGARY -- The Riggers' high-octane offence, which averaged more than 13.5 goals a game last season, was held scoreless in the fourth quarter against the Mammoth. Individually, captain F Tracey Kelusky led the team with two goals and two assists.

SAN JOSE -- Lost leading scorer F Josh Sanderson and F Rusty Kruger in off-season trades, which will make goals harder to come by for the NoCal team.

SPECIAL TEAMS:

POWERPLAY -- Calgary is only operating at 22% (2-for-9) with the extra man advantage, which puts them fourth overall in the league.

PENALTY KILLING -- The Roughnecks have only allowed one goal in seven short-handed opportunities.

INJURIES:

CALGARY -- D Taylor Wray (broken leg, 4-5 weeks), F Matt Green (knee, week-to-week), T Ryan Sharp (shoulder, 2-3 weeks), T Kyle Neufeld (knee, week-to-week).

NOTABLES:

The Roughnecks will be having a pre-game ceremony honouring the 2003-04 squad, which captured its first NLL Championship last season. They will raise a banner at the 'Dome and also present each member of last year's team with a championship ring.
