OTTAWA - Itís almost not fair, the 98-lb. weakling getting sand kicked in the face ó over and over.

Itís like bringing a knife to a gunfight. And Canadaís gunfire is deadly.

IIHF boss Rene Fasel and Hockey Canada president/CEO Bob Nicholson are trying like hell to bring the also-rans up to a level where they can compete with Canada and the U.S. in womenís hockey.

It wonít be easy. The dynamic duo are clearly the ice queens. If that doesnít change soon, if other countries donít get serious about sinking time and money into womenís hockey, blustery Olympic poobah Jacques Rogue says he might kick the sport out of the five-ringed circus.

Really ... everybody else ... how much ass-kicking does it take?
