Four-time Canadian Olympian Hayley Wickenheiser has been named Canada West women’s hockey player of the year for the second time in three seasons.

The University of Calgary Dinos forward posted 16 goals and 43 points in 22 games this season, finishing with a plus-36.

The three-time Olympic gold medallist led Canada West in goals, assists, points, game-winning goals and plus-minus in a season that saw the Dinos finish 23-4-1, their best record in team history.

After finishing the season in first place, the Dinos face the UBC Thunderbirds in a three-game series this weekend for the Canada West title.

Both teams have already qualified to represent Canada West at the CIS championship in Toronto March 7-10.

The Vancouver Canucks should replace ex-coach Alain Vigneault with...
  Guy Boucher.
  Lindy Ruff.
  Andy Murray.
  Jacques Martin.

  Don Hay.
  Other.
