Canada’s national women’s hockey team announced Thursday that it has finalized the coaching and support staff for the 2013 world championship in Ottawa.

Joining head coach Dan Church will be Danielle Goyette out of the University of Calgary and Lisa Haley from Ryerson University. Both were behind the bench at the 2012 world championship in Burlington, Vt., helping Canada win gold.

“We are very excited to be naming this staff today, and have full confidence they will have our players ready to go when the puck drops in Sochi next February,” said Scott Smith, chief operating officer with Hockey Canada. “This group has a tremendous amount of experience through our women’s program, and we’re looking forward to working with them over the next year.”

The world championship tournament takes place April 2-9.
