Canadian women going for gold

Canada is heading to the gold-medal game of the IIHF World Women’s Championship after defeating Finland 4-1 in their semifinal match Saturday.

Canadians Marie-Philip Poulin, Rebecca Johnston, Jayna Hefford and team captain Hayley Wickenheiser scored for Canada. Goalie Charline Labonte earned the win.

Michelle Karvinen was the only player to score for the Finns.

Canada will play the winner of the U.S.-Russia semifinal which is set to take place Saturday afternoon.

The gold-medal game will be held Monday in Zurich.












Would Seattle be a good city for the NHL to relocate to?

  No, they should go to Quebec instead.
