BUFFALO - Popeye Jones is still trying to figure out what happened.

"I kept hearing from guys, 'Hockey? How'd that happen?'" laughed the former NBA power forward, now an assistant coach with the Brooklyn Nets and father to Seth, potentially the top pick in next summer's NHL draft.

Seth is a pretty good basketball player, according to his dad's scouting report, but despite the obvious strong basketball influence in his life, chose hockey. So did his brothers (Justin played briefly at the University of Denver and Caleb, 15, was selected in the third round of the Western Hockey League draft by the Portland Winterhawks, where Seth is playing his season. Caleb, who's probably going to be bigger than Seth, is playing with the Dallas Stars major bantam team).

What was the tipping point that saw Seth choose ice over hardwood?

The Vancouver Canucks should replace ex-coach Alain Vigneault with...
  Guy Boucher.
  Lindy Ruff.
  Andy Murray.
  Jacques Martin.
  Brent Sutter.
  Don Hay.
  Other.
