EDMONTON - Gold medal Olympic figure skater Jamie Sale has married Hockey Night in Canada broadcaster and former Edmonton Oilers player Craig Simpson.

Sale tweeted late Tuesday night from her Twitter account @JamieSale, "YES...I am a married woman!!! Luckiest girl in the world tonight! Married my best friend, Craig."

Sale was previously married to her skating partner David Pelletier. The Edmonton pair, who won gold at the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics, had a son together in 2007 and divorced in 2010.

Sale, 35, and Simpson, 45, competed as a figure skating duo on the CBC's Battle of the Blades in 2009 and won.

Simpson separated from his longtime wife Christine in March 2010. The couple divorced in May 2012. He has three teenaged children including Dillon, 19, whom the Oilers drafted in the fourth round of the 2011 NHL entry draft.

Simpson won two Stanley Cups with the Oilers and scored a career-high 56 goals in the 1987-88 season.

Sale, who couldn't be reached for comment, continued to Tweet about the marriage Wednesday. "Unreal! It was magical and so perfect!" she tweeted, as well as, "We feel blessed/fortunate every day to share our love."
