Canada wins gold in inline hockey

Canada defeated Germany 9-5 Thursday to capture the IIHF world inline hockey championship.
It was the first time in 14 years that Canada has won the inline gold medal, which was played this year in Ingolstadt, Germany. Germany took the silver and Finland claimed the bronze against Slovenia. Slovakia earned promotion against Hungary to replace Great Britain in the Top Division.
Max Grassi led Canada with four goals in the gold-medal game in front of 4,575 fans at Saturn Arena. Thomas Woods had three.
