Hockey cards go missing in mail

If you happened to get a package containing 50 hockey cards featuring the Toronto Maple Leafs and Montreal Canadiens that you weren't expecting, Joe Yetman and Canada Post would like to talk to you.

The cards went missing sometime after Jan. 2, when eBay seller Yetman sent them from his home in Newfoundland to a seller in Ontario. Yetman told the St. John's Telegram he paid $32 to send a registered and insured parcel, but when they didn't arrive in Ontario after 10 days, he was told the package had disappeared.

A Canada Post spokeswoman told Yetman the bar code on the package had been entered into the system, but then mysteriously disappeared.

Yetman may have received his $1,100 insurance claim, but he's still hoping to recover the cards.

The newspaper says he's offering a $2,500 reward.
