WINNIPEG - The majority of Winnipeg Jets fans want to see a new goaltending tandem between the pipes next season.
Unfortunately for that group, general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff has already declared Ondrej Pavelec will be the team’s No. 1 goaltender going into the 2014-15 campaign.
According to the nearly 800 people who responded to our annual You Be The Boss poll, the majority wants someone else to be team’s No. 1 netminder next season. In fact, more respondents think Michael Hutchinson (18%) should be the starter over Pavelec (15%). Current backup Al Montoya got 16% of that vote, but it was “someone else” got the majority of the support at 51%.
