WINNIPEG - Olli Jokinen is the Winnipeg Jets nominee for the Bill Masterton Trophy, given annually to the NHL player who most displays the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey.

The 35-year-old Jokinen has bounced back from a disappointing season to record 17 goals and 41 points for the Jets, playing all 78 games.

Jokinen managed just seven goals, 14 points, in 45 games during the lockout-shortened, 2012-13 campaign.

The award is handed out and voted on by members of the Professional Hockey Writers Association.
