SAN JOSE, CALIF. - The Winnipeg Jets talked about it in the days leading up to their clash against the San Jose Sharks: Stay out of the penalty box.

They didn’t, but it didn’t matter. It was the Sharks who should’ve paid attention to that part of the game.

San Jose scored twice on the power play and went into the third period tied 3-3 with the pesky Jets, but Winnipeg ultimately pulled out the 4-3 victory when Toby Enstrom took a perfect feed from Blake Wheeler and buried his ninth of the season with 3:36 remaining in the third.

Logan Couture was in the penalty box for shooting the puck over the glass, and the Sharks lost for just the second time in regulation in the last 14 games.

It was the first time since Nov. 10 and 12 that the Jets had allowed two power-play goals in back-to-back games, but they also scored twice with the man advantage on Thursday night to pick up just their third triumph in the last 12 outings.
