WINNIPEG - WARNING: This story is boring. There are no flashy words, nor are there any exciting anecdotes about end-to-end rushes or slap shots to the top corner.

That's because simple is the way Adam Pardy and Keaton Ellerby play defence. That's just the way they like it, too, because they've been playing roles in a bunch of Winnipeg Jets victories lately.

The vagabond NHL defencemen have found a home in Winnipeg as the third pairing. The team's overall defence has improved since Dustin Byfuglien moved to forward and the team fired Claude Noel as head coach. Those moves resulted in Ellerby and Pardy becoming full-time partners, and they have found that all-important chemistry. It doesn't always work that way.
