Funny how we could go an entire Olympic tournament without seeing a single fight, yet the Winnipeg Jets and Phoenix Coyotes barely made it through the first minute before they felt the need to drop the mitts in downtown Winnipeg, Thursday.

Welcome back, NHL.

When Phoenix's Rob Klinkhammer hit Jets defenceman Toby Enstrom from behind, Zach Bogosian waded in and coaxed Klinkhammer into doing the manly thing for his misdeed.

Enstrom was fine. But, yeah, there should have been a penalty on the play.

The Winter Games showed us once again you can play this game just fine without dragging out your knuckles.

All we need is the same rule they use in international play: dust off your fists, and you're out of the game.

The Jets won the fight and the game, 3-2 in a shootout.
