The Winnipeg Jets saw the value in leaving town with just one point on Saturday afternoon.
Despite an effort that included rallying from a goal down on three separate occasions and playing a fairly tight defensive game, the Jets were generally pleased with how they played in a 4-3 shootout loss to the St. Louis Blues on Saturday afternoon before a crowd of 19,053 at Scottrade Center.Follow @SlamSports
But they were also downright ticked off about not being able to go into the Olympic break on a winning note, thanks to goals from T.J. Oshie and Vladimir Tarasenko in the penalty-shot contest that followed overtime.
"We played the game like we wanted to," said Jets defenceman Mark Stuart. "It always sucks losing in the shootout. It's kind of a kick in the nuts."
It's not often that you hear a player describe an outcome like a boot to the nether regions, that's for sure.
