WINNIPEG - The Winnipeg Jets improved to 3-0 under new head coach Paul Maurice and won for just the fourth time this season when trailing after the second period, beating the Edmonton Oilers 3-2 in overtime this afternoon at MTS Centre.

Jacob Trouba scored his second goal of the game — and third in two contests — 1:10 into the extra frame. Blake wheeler just missed on a deke, but he got the puck back and fed it out front to the rookie blue-liner.

The Jets trailed 1-0 after 40 minutes, but a pair of rookies got the Jets back in front. Jacob Trouba scored his second in as many games on a great feed from Bryan Little while the Jets were shorthanded. It was Winnipeg’s fourth marker of the year when down a man.
