WINNIPEG - The NHL has suspended Winnipeg Jets forward Anthony Peluso three games for his cheap shot on Dallas Stars defenceman Alex Goligoski.

Peluso hammered Goligoski from behind late in the second period on Saturday, slamming his head into the glass.

Peluso received a boarding major and a game misconduct and missed the rest of Winnipeg's 6-4 loss to Dallas.

Meanwhile, the Jets announced today that forward Matt Halischuk has surgery on a broken forearm suffered Saturday and will be out indefinitely.
