TAMPA - The Winnipeg Jets ended up finishing their season-long road trip on a high note after all.

Mark Scheifele scored 64 seconds into overtime to propel the Jets to a 2-1 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning onSaturday night at the Tampa Bay Times Forum.

The Jets finished the road trip 4-2, improved to 14-13-4 overall and return to action Tuesday against the St. Louis Blues.

Despite scoring the first goal and carrying the play for a good chunk of the first two periods, one critical miscue helped turn the tide in the game.

The Lightning can also thank backup goalie Anders Lindback for keeping them in the game as they were badly outshot.
