PHILADELPHIA - So it turns out Claude Noel had a good reason for being concerned about his team not being ready to go for their early start against the Philadelphia Flyers.

The Winnipeg Jets gave up a goal in the opening minute, were badly outplayed for the first half of the game and fell behind by a pair of goals before making a late push that came up short in a 2-1 loss to the Flyers on Friday at Wells Fargo Center.

With the defeat, the Jets slip back to .500 at 12-12-4 as they hit the midway point of a season-long six-game road trip.

The Jets aren’t back in action until Monday when they face the New York Rangers.
