WINNIPEG - Disappointing yes, but bad?

No.

The Winnipeg Jets played some of their best hockey of the season on their four-game road trip through the Central Division, but came away with very little to show for it, just three of a possible eight points.

It could have been so much better. In fact, you can argue the Jets could be on a five-game winning streak right now, going back to the last game of their six-game homestand against Washington.

The Jets should have won that game, but lost in a shootout. The following game, in Nashville, was a toss-up that the Jets lost in overtime. They won in a shootout in Dallas and then played strong games in both Colorado and St. Louis, only to lose on late goals both times.

As there has been all season, there’s a large amount of frustration in the Jets dressing room, although it’s different now than it was earlier in the season.
