Winnipeg Jets left-winger Evander Kane had to be helped from the ice at practice Wednesday, favouring his right leg.

Kane was injured toward the end of practice and putting little or no pressure on his leg.

The Jets said he would not return to practice and would not be available to the media today.

Kane has three goals so far this season and has been the team’s most spirited player during a 3-4 start.
