WINNIPEG -- Adam Lowry has been waiting patiently, waiting for his mysterious injury to heal so he can show the Winnipeg Jets coaching staff what he can do.

The 20-year-old will finally get that chance tomorrow night in Edmonton against the Oilers in pre-season action at Rexall Place.

“I’m looking forward to that opportunity,” Lowry said after this morning’s practice at MTS Centre. “I know it’s been a little anxious trying to get back in the lineup, but I’m excited for that.”

Lowry crashed into the boards during the first scrimmage of training camp, which has prevented him from suiting up for any exhibition games thus far.

“It was tough,” Lowry said. “Going into the prospects tournament I started to feel better every game and I was looking forward to coming into camp and to show that I’ve continued to improve. Getting knocked out in that first scrimmage, I was a little anxious to get back.
