The Winnipeg Jets have once again found that winning formula.

When you ride the roller coaster that has been the Jets' sprint-to-the-finish season, it's been plain to see that laying out the checklist is one thing, but being able to make all the things happen on a night-to-night basis has often been a challenge.

But with their hope of nailing down a playoff spot still alive, the Jets managed to move slightly up the Eastern Conference ladder after a convincing 4-1 triumph over the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday night before a crowd of 15,004 at MTS Centre.

"We're getting back on track. More and more we're doing the right things," said Jets winger Blake Wheeler, who sealed the deal with an empty-netter that came with 25.6 seconds left in the third period after a nifty passing play from Bryan Little and Andrew Ladd.
