Don’t do it, Kevin Cheveldayoff.

Don’t do it.

The annual NHL trade deadline is just days away and as the Pittsburgh Penguins and Ray Shero have been the early winners after bringing in Jarome Iginla, Brenden Morrow and Douglas Murray to bolster an already-impressive lineup, many are wondering what the Winnipeg Jets’ general manager is going to do between now and next Wednesday at 2 p.m. CT.

Many members of Jets Nation expect defenceman Ron Hainsey, a pending unrestricted free agent, to be on the move to a contending team and the Boston Bruins are believed to be among the several clubs interested in his services.

Teams that want to compete for and win the Stanley Cup depend on depth on the back end and Hainsey would be a great catch for any club that makes a pitch.
