Jets have chance to bury Capitals in rare back-to-back encounter

Kyle Wellwood (13) of the Winnipeg Jets says his team has a chance to bury the Washington Capitals in the standings if they can sweep games against them Thursday and Friday. That won't be easy though as back-to-backs are among the toughest games on a schedule.

Who brought the AHL back when we weren’t looking?

It’s those noted farm teams, Winnipeg and Washington, locking horns at Portage and Hargrave, Thursday and Friday, in that minor-league staple, the back-to-back.
