TORONTO - Zach Bogosian was there to provide a pair of galvanizing moments for the Winnipeg Jets, the last of which was enough to push his club into first place in the Southeast Division for the first time this season.

Bogosian demonstrated leadership in stepping up for teammate Evander Kane during the first period to drop the gloves with Korbinian Holzer, then showed great patience and hands in the 10th round of the shootout to beat James Reimer and give the Jets a 5-4 triumph before an emotionally-charged crowd of 19,401 at Air Canada Centre on Saturday night.

“We’re happy we’re at the top, at least for the time being,” said Jets head coach Claude Noel. “You’ve got just to keep getting points, otherwise you’re falling. As silly as it sounds, it puts it right.”
