WINNIPEG - Ron Hainsey is not prone to hyperbole.

That’s what made his words strike such a powerful chord after the Winnipeg Jets 3-1 victory over the New York Rangers before another sellout crowd of 15,004 at MTS Centre on Thursday night.

“These are two of the best games we’ve played as a team in the four-and-a-half years I’ve been part of this group,” said Hainsey. “This is exactly what we set out for.”

The Jets were riding high after Tuesday’s 5-2 triumph over the Toronto Maple Leafs, but all of the talk going into the contest was about the importance of following up.
