Winnipeg Jets lose Jim Slater, recall Patrice Cormier

The Winnipeg Jets have recalled forward Patrice Cormier from the St. John's IceCaps of the American Hockey League.

Cormier, 22, has seven goals and 11 points in 32 AHL games this season.

The bruising forward can play either centre or wing.

The Jets are back in action on Thursday against the New York Rangers.
