Will the Winnipeg Jets find a road to redemption?
By KIRK PENTON, QMI Agency

The urgency of the Jets situation is not lost on defenceman Mark Stuart.

WINNIPEG - The last time the Jets headed out on the road, their season was on the line.

Thanks to that road trip, however, and in part to their recent two-game home stand, the Jets don’t have to play for their lives when they hit the ice for four contests away from home this week, starting Tuesday in Sunrise, Fla., against the Florida Panthers.

It was just two weeks ago when the Jets completed a three-game home stand during which they won no games and as a result were just one point out of the NHL’s basement. They were facing a tough, five-game road swing that would take them to unfriendly locations like New Jersey, Carolina and Madison Square Garden to face the New York Rangers. Goaltender Ondrej Pavelec admitted it was time to win, or the playoffs would be a dream.
