Andrew Ladd made sure that the home-ice magic returned for the Winnipeg Jets.
The Jets captain scored twice and added an assist to propel his team to a 2-1 victory over the New Jersey Devils before a crowd of 15,004 at MTS Centre on Thursday night.
With the game tied 1-1 in the third and the teams playing 4-on-4 after coincidental minors were called on Nik Antropov and Steve Bernier, Dustin Byfuglien made a dynamic rush and Ladd chipped in the rebound at 11:59 for his team-leading 12th goal of the season.
The win allowed the Jets to improve to 10-9-1 on the season and helped snap a four-game losing skid on home ice.
