Zach Redmond likely done for season with Jets
Blue-liner lucky to be alive after skate cuts femoral artery

PHILADELPHIA - Zach Redmond has likely played his last game of the current season for the Winnipeg Jets.

Rob Milette, head athletic therapist for the Jets, provided a thorough update on Redmond Friday morning.

Redmond suffered a lacerated femoral artery and vein on Thursday morning that required nearly three hours of surgery to repair.

Because of the complexity of the situation, the area of the cut and the amount of blood that was lost (Milette suspected it was more than one litre), it’s too early to assess how long it might take for Redmond to recover.

After benching Brad Richards should the New York Rangers eventually just buy him out?
  Yes.
  Might be a good idea.
  No.
  Not sure.
