RALEIGH, N.C. - Winnipeg Jets defenceman Zach Redmond suffered a deep cut to his right leg at the end of Thursday's morning skate, was taken by ambulance to a Raleigh-area hospital and underwent successful surgery. Redmond went under the knife for nearly three hours on Thursday afternoon to repair the laceration to his right femoral artery and vein which is in the mid-thigh region above the knee. Through a statement, the Jets said that Redmond is currently resting comfortably in recovery and is expected to be out for an indefinite period of time. |
