Jets goalie Pavelec knows he needs to do better

WINNIPEG - Winnipeg Jets goalie Ondrej Pavelec isn’t hiding from the fact his game is not where he wants it to be right now.

“Obviously, it’s not good,” said Pavelec, who is 2-4-1 with a 3.55 goals against average and .888 save percentage in seven starts this season. “The last three games we didn’t play well and I didn’t play well. We know, if we’re going to get some points, we have to be better and I have to be better. It’s no secret. It is what it is.

“We’re trying to look forward and not behind. It starts tonight.”

The Jets (3-4-1) host the Florida Panthers (3-5-0) on Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. and are looking to snap a three-game losing skid.

Pavelec hasn’t lost confidence and isn’t about to overhaul his style of play, though he did put in some extra time this week with goalie coach Wade Flaherty.

Would Seattle be a good city for the NHL to relocate to?
Yes, it'd be a great market.
  Maybe, who knows.
No, they should go to Quebec instead.
