Winnipeg Jets out to avoid letdown against Islanders after big win
By KIRK PENTON, QMI Agency

WINNIPEG - Friday nights are always fun. The work and school weeks are over for most people. The weekend is finally here, and it’s time to let loose.

Sunday nights are the opposite. The weekend is coming to a close, and the work and school weeks are only 12 hours away. Five days of bosses and teachers loom. Boo!

Friday night was a lot of fun for the Jets and their fans, as the home side bounced back from a 2-0 deficit and doubled up on the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-2. It was raucous at MTS Centre, and the Jets fed off the emotion for a victory head coach Claude Noel called “a huge step.”

  Yes, he's perfect
  No, he's not ready
  Bring him to Montreal!
