Winnipeg Jets seeking road to success
Team needs to improve away from MTS Centre if they want to make playoffs

BOSTON - It’s a brand new season and the slate is supposed to be wiped clean.

But for the many returnees on the Winnipeg Jets roster — and even the newcomers brought on board — this storyline is already a familiar one.

Quite simply, the Jets need to find a way to improve their dreadful road record from a season ago. It’s of the utmost importance.

In a 48-game season, failing to correct their shortcomings away from the friendly confines of MTS Centre could prove disastrous.

Last year’s numbers, themselves, were tough enough to swallow.

A 14-22-5 record was a sore spot for a team that missed the playoffs by eight points in the Eastern Conference standings.

After benching Brad Richards should the New York Rangers eventually just buy him out?
  Yes.
  Might be a good idea.
  No.
  Not sure.
