Class back in session for Jets' coach Claude Noel

WINNIPEG - Claude Noel could barely contain his enthusiasm and really, what else did you expect from a guy who must have felt like a caged animal as the NHL lockout dragged on?

Sunday was the first time Noel was able to interact with players on the ice and he resembled a professor welcoming back his students for the first day of school.

The head coach of the Winnipeg Jets oozes passion when it comes to talking hockey and after the first day of condensed training camp concluded, Noel took his customary position at the podium and engaged the media in an animated conversation that lasted nearly 15 minutes.

The most pointed part of the dialogue came when Noel started talking about the type of attitude adjustment that was required for the Jets to take the next step and become a playoff team.

“You know what, it’s not so much the attitude change that I wanted, it makes it sound like we have a bad attitude and that’s not it at all,” Noel said. “The thing is, for me, I would lik
