WINNIPEG - There has been plenty of debate around these parts about the past two first round selections of the Winnipeg Jets.

Fans and followers of the Jets have kept a close eye on the 2013 World Junior Hockey Championship in Ufa, Russia, where the Jets’ past two Top-10 picks were on display, playing key roles for Team Canada and Team USA.

Since most folks are more familiar with Mark Scheifele, the seventh overall pick in 2011, let’s start with Jacob Trouba, who has been a rock on the back end for Team USA throughout the tournament, picking up four goals and eight points in six games.

Going into the event, Trouba was drawing some comparisons to longtime Colorado Avalanche defenceman Adam Foote for his combination of talent and skill.

The guy Trouba reminds me of most right now is Jets defenceman Zach Bogosian, perhaps with a bit more of a mean streak.

Would Patrick Roy make a good coach for the Colorado Avalanche?
  Yes, he's perfect
  No, he's not ready
  Bring him to Montreal!
