WINNIPEG - The Winnipeg Jets are opening up a limited number of spots on its waiting list for season tickets to the NHL team's home games.

The team announced spots on the 8,000-strong waiting list will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday via Ticketmaster. A spot on the list costs $50, with annual $100 fees charged each July going forward.

In addition to having a place in line should season ticket holders fail to renew their seats, wait list members receive a discount at Jets Gear stores, exclusive opportunities to purchase individual game-day tickets, and other perks.

When season tickets went on sale for the Jets last year, all 13,000 were purchased within minutes. Another 8,000 people signed up for the waiting list within the next couple hours before the team closed it off.

The Vancouver Canucks should replace ex-coach Alain Vigneault with...
  Guy Boucher.
