Jets bench struggling Fehr

In an effort to spark the Winnipeg Jets struggling offence, head coach Claude Noel made Winkler product Eric Fehr a healthy scratch for the first time this season on Sunday afternoon for the game against the Montreal Canadiens.
Fehr, a 26-year-old right-winger, has only one goal and one assist for two points in 29 games this season and carries a minus-6 rating.
Fehr has been hampered by the shoulder injury that kept him out of training camp and simply hasn’t been able to find his offensive groove.
Fehr has 46 shots on goal, but his shooting percentage is 2.2% so far.
Call-up Spencer Machacek replaced Fehr in the lineup and played his second game with the Jets, playing most of the game on a line with Nik Antropov and Kyle Wellwood.
Although the Jets were shutout 3-0, Machacek finished with four shots on goal and made some creative plays in just under eight minutes of ice time.
“Machacek came in the game, he had energy and played well,” said Noel.
