Winnipeg police have charged a 21-year-old man with fraud after he allegedly sold stolen Winnipeg Jets tickets to "unsuspecting individuals."

Police announced Thursday that the man, whom they have not publicly identified, turned himself in at the District 3 police station in West Kildonan Wednesday following what police termed "a continued investigation."

Police have so far released little information regarding the nature of the case, only stating that the man is accused of selling stolen NHL tickets to people throughout the city.

He's been charged with possession of goods obtained by crime and four counts of fraud, suggesting police believe he sold stolen tickets on at least four occasions or to four different victims.

The Sun will update this story when more information becomes available.

  Might be a good idea.
